Petrol and Diesel sales down by 20%
The International Energy Agency yesterday reported that petrol and diesel sales were down by 20% over the year since last June. Car-sharing is now at 250,000 registered people and the AA reports that 66% of its members have cut back their journeys. Meanwhile over the pond, GM is permanently shutting down four of its truck and SUV production lines. Also, the CIBC predicts that there will be a mass exodus from private cars in the next few years.
